How treatments work

During your appointment, Dr Danika will do a skin and aesthetic assessment and recommend the best treatment options for you.
If anti-wrinkle injections are indicated, Dr Danika will perform the procedure – don’t worry, the needles are small and the injections relatively painless.
You may experience redness or itching post-injection, this should resolve quickly.
Results will be visible within 3-7 days and maximal results will be visible at the two-week mark.
Any adjustments can be made at a two-week follow-up appointment.
Pre-treatment guidelines:
Avoid:
Consuming alcohol 24 hours prior to your treatment
Waxing, bleaching, tweezing or hair removal creams in the treatment area for 2 days prior
Topical products such as tretinoin (Retin A), retinol, retinoids, glycolic acid for a week prior to your appointment
To decrease your risk of bruising, avoid taking blood-thinning medications one week prior to procedure e.g. aspirin, brufen, and over the counter medications such as such fish oil, vitamin E supplements, St Johns wort, garlic, ginko biloba, and ginseng. However, if you are on prescription blood thinners please consult your primary care physician before stopping any medication.
Post-treatment guidelines
For 24 hours after treatment
No excessive pressure to treated area
Avoid exercise or excessive bending
No facial treatments or massage
Cleanse, tone and apply face cream gently
Apply make-up gently (avoid wearing make-up if possible)
Do not lie directly on your face for 4-6 hours post-treatment
Gently apply ice packs to areas of swelling
